  Vaccination for India

 

Although India is very safe country to visit but still below are the details of some important vaccinations recommended to visit India.

Hepatitis A:

This vaccination is recommended for all the travelers coming to India.


Hepatitis B:

Travelers who may have intimate contact with local residents here should take this vaccination, especially if their period of stay is longer in India like more than 6 months or so.

 

Typhoid:

All travelers who are visiting India are recommended to take the Typhoid vaccination.

Yellow Fever:


There is no risk of Yellow fever in India but the Government of India just requires the proof only specially if you are arriving of passing through any yellow-fever infected area like Africa. This vaccination if not required for the US citizens.

 

Japanese Encephalitis:


This vaccine is recommended for travelers those are staying for more than one month in India and specially for those who are traveling through the rural areas.

 

Rabies:


Traveler those may have direct contact with animals in India should take this vaccination. Rabies vaccination is recommended specially for the travelers who will involve in outdoor activities here like camping, biking, hiking, adventure and caving. Because these travelers always have the danger of bitten by dogs, bats and some other mammals in India which has rabies.
